Our Team

Saha Oil is run by people who work across the whole chain rather than one link of it. Below is how the company is organised and who you will actually be dealing with, depending on what you are buying.

Agronomy

Decides what goes in which field and how it is worked. Tillage is chosen per field rather than by policy, taking soil structure, moisture, weather and the crop in rotation into account. This is the team whose decisions in spring determine what the refinery has to work with in autumn. Their side of the business is described on the grains and oilseed farming page.

Storage and Logistics

Runs the certified silo complexes in five regions and the shipping that follows: receiving, cleaning, drying, storing, and loading by road and rail. They are the ones who commit to a loading window and then hold it.

Production and Refining

Operates the extraction plant and the refinery: mechanical pressing, degumming, neutralisation, bleaching, deodorisation and winterisation. They set the refining recipe per lot rather than running one fixed programme, which is only possible because they know the crude.

Laboratory and R&D

Tests incoming seed, in-process samples and finished oil, and issues the analytical report that travels with every consignment. The same team develops custom blends against a target fatty acid profile, smoke point or shelf life, and is the one that will tell you when a specification is out of reach with our seed base.

Trade Desk

Handles quotes, contracts and documentation. When you send a request, a trade manager answers with a price on your Incoterm, a realistic loading window and a sample specification, normally within one working day.
