Our soybean cake is processed to GOST 8057-95 for food-grade soybean cake, granulated and toasted, shipped in bulk. Guaranteed parameters: protein content minimum 44 percent, fibre content maximum 6 percent, maximum humidity 12 percent. Each consignment travels with its own certificate, not a generic type specification.
Soybean Cake or Soybean Meal: Which One Do You Need
The two names get used interchangeably, and that causes real problems in ration formulation. Cake is what remains after mechanical pressing, so it keeps more residual oil and therefore more metabolisable energy. Meal is the solvent-extracted product, with lower fat and a correspondingly higher protein concentration per kilogram.

What a Real Lab Report Looks Like
A recent lot returned 45.7 percent protein, 4.98 percent humidity, 6.37 percent ash and 5.69 percent cellulose, with cADF at 6.06 and cNDF at 9.41. Two numbers on that report deserve your attention:
- Urease activity 0.06 — the beans were toasted long enough to deactivate trypsin inhibitors.
- KOH protein solubility 83.79 percent — they were not toasted so hard that lysine availability collapsed.
Under-toasted soybeans depress growth, over-toasted ones waste the protein you paid for, and those two figures are how you check that neither happened before the truck is unloaded.
Use in Animal Feed
Soybean protein has the amino acid profile other plant proteins are measured against, particularly for lysine. That is why soybeans animal feed remains the reference protein source in compound feed even where cheaper alternatives are available.

Cattle
Dairy rations use it to lift crude protein without adding much fibre, and the energy from residual oil in cake is useful in early lactation. Beef finishing rations use it more sparingly, usually alongside cereal grain.
Pigs and poultry
Both are sensitive to anti-nutritional factors, which is exactly why the urease figure above matters. Correctly toasted soybean meal feed supports growth rates that raw beans cannot, and broiler and layer diets in particular lean on its lysine and methionine contribution.

Prices track the bean market, the crush margin and freight to your unloading point. There is no single global number, and any supplier who gives you one without asking for your destination is quoting something you cannot actually buy.
We quote volume, packaging and Incoterm together. Larger consolidated loads and a fixed delivery window bring the soybean cake price per tonne down noticeably, and season-long contracts bring it down further, because they let us plan crushing schedules instead of pulling from spot stock.

One practical note on receiving. Granulated cake arrives at 12 percent moisture or below, and it stays stable at that level in a dry, ventilated store. Problems almost always start with condensation in a sealed bin rather than with the product itself, so check the moisture reading on arrival and store away from wet walls.
